This Thursday is Court of Honor (troop awards ceremony) We ask that parents please attend, and bring a dessert to share. Friends of Scouting will also be there for a short presentation. PLC meets at 6:30.

Sign-ups are ongoing for the April campout. Campout is April 28-30 Cuiver River State Park $17.00 (Due April 20) plus gas money. 

Please see the by law tab on the blog. Committee has been working on updating the bylaws. We will be asking that each parent and scout sign that they have read and agree to abide by these by laws.  Scouts will not be allowed to camp, until they and parents have signed. We will have forms to sign at the table, make sure you and your scout read and sign the bylaws sheet. troop-821-bylaws

This year summer camp is at Camp Gamble S-F. We are doing things differently as far as sign up & payment goes. Let me know if you are planning to attend summer camp, and I will reply with Parent portal sign in information for each scout. You will then pay for summer camp, and make merit badge selections through the parent portal. For those using scout funds, you need to enter all of your scouts information, then notify myself and Mrs. Ennis, and we will make payments for your scout, but you will select the merit badges.

Ranken Summer Boy Scout Camp

A summer camp designed specifically for middle school aged Boy Scouts. Participants will have the opportunity to work with college instructors to earn the Plumbing, Woodwork, and Electronics Merit Badges while enjoying the college experience, to include hands-on activities in state-of-the-arts labs and eating in the college café. Scouts will be separated into three groups and will rotate to each of the Merit Badge workshops during the three-day camp.
Date: Tuesday, May 30 – Thursday, June 1, 2017
Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Where: Ranken Technical College, 4431 Finney Ave, St. Louis, MO 63113
Cost: $75 per Boy Scout – Maximum capacity 50.  Register here.
Merit Badges & Prerequisites
Plumbing/Scouts should acquaint themselves with health & safety and how it pertains to plumbing.  Research and name 5 things a plumber does. Also, name a plumbing company in your area, (maybe one your family uses when needed).
Woodwork/Make working drawings of a cabinet, box, or something else needing dowel joints. Project should include a door OR lid fastened with inset hinges. RTC will provide specifics for the project and limited dimensions for project design as soon as we can.
Electronics/Find out about three career opportunities in electronics that interest you. Be prepared to explain what training and education are needed for each position
Ranken Technical College will provide:
·         Training space, project materials, and safety gear
·         Qualified faculty members to train and assist Scouts with merit badge projects
·         Certificate of Completion
·         Lunch on TuesdayWednesday, and Thursday
·         Breakfast on Wednesday and Thursday

 O.A Dues will be $10.00 for 2017 you can pay @ You do not have to pay dues if you completed Ordeal at fall reunion, or Brotherhood in 2016.

 Spring Conclave is April 21-23 register at purchase the brother ticket $15.00 before April 13th. Food money ($14.00) is due to Mr. Lanemann, April 13th.
