    Events This Week 

    Life to Eagle session @ Roundtable. The session will start at 7 pm. Bring a copy of the Eagle Project Workbook. (I am not sure if he gives you one.) This is for Scouts that are Life and close to completing the Merit Badges required for Eagle.

    Thursday Meeting – Register for Fall Pacao & Meal planning for Pacao.Fall Pacao is Friday, October 11th – Sunday, October 13th. Cost is $20/per person for Scouts. Last day to pay will be Thursday, October 3rd. The Scouts will be meal planning on October 3rd. Each Patrol will have a grub master that is in charge of shopping for the food. We will discuss this on October 3rd


    The Troop has been asked to have a concessions booth at the Pack Rummage sale on Saturday, October 5th. We have a lot of chips, granola bars, water, and Gatorade from the Parade. Any other ideas of snack items we can sell?We will also need Scouts to help empty trash throughout the day. This will be counted as Service Hours. (Service Hours are needed for rank.) Scouts need to check in with Mrs. Tague to receive credit for service hours.
    I will also need other adults to help. Set up: 8:30. Sale runs 9:00 a, – 3:00 pm.

    Trailer Clean-up – Sunday, October 6th @ 1 pm at Admin Building.

    Away Meeting this Thursday and Fall Pacao 

    This week is an away meeting. The Scouts have chosen to go to The Edge in Belleville. We will meet at the Admin building to leave at 6:30 to go to The Edge. (701 South Belt West, Belleville, IL 62220 ) Cost of two games of laser tag is $16.00

    Affton Days Parade Snack Booth 

    We will meet at the front parking lot (traffic light entrance) at 8 am to set up and sell pre-parade goodies. I will have a cooler for the beverages. The parade will start at 10 am. Once it is out of the parking lot, parents can pick up. Keep in mind Mackenzie will be blocked from the Affton High School to Bayless Schools.

    This week, we need Scouts to bring their books so we can do a book check and sign off on books for rank advancement.

    Saturday, September 21st – Affton Days pre-Parade food booth. We need donations like water, Gatorade, doughnuts, individually bagged chips (snack size) that we can sell before the parade starts. We use the money raised in the Troop for help with maintenance on camping items we use routinely. The parade starts at Affton High School. Please let me know what you can donate. We also need adults and Scouts to help sell. I will have a sign up at the Thursday meeting.

    Other reminders: Now that we are back in school, if a Scout needs a card for a Merit Badge, they need to sign the book at the beginning of the meeting in the Merit Badge log section of the Troop Sign In Book. Cards will be written as time allows during the meeting as time allows. Scouts need to know when they are taking the Merit Badge class.

    Court of Honor 

    Thursday – Court of Honor – AHS Commons – 7 pm Bring a dessert to share.
    Friday – Fall Reunion – Details in the post below. Scouts need to eat before we leave.

    I have registered the Troop for Scoutfest 2020. The registration is just to get an idea of attendance. Scoutfest will be October 2 – 4, 2020 in Forest Park. One we know more details, we will post them.

    Fall Reunion Information 

    We need several Scouts to go down early with Mr.Wagoner to set up. Scouts need to be able to get to the Admin building by 3:15 to leave at 3:30.
    The remainder of the group will leave PROMPTLY at 5:00. with me. Please arrive at 4:45.
    Scouts MUST, MUST, MUST have their thunderbird on. Send them with work gloves and clothes they can get muddy and gross.
